María Clara De Greiff
She was born in Colombia and grew up in Mexico, in the city of Cholula, Puebla.
The daughter of an academic father, from a very young age she had a taste for literature, unfounded by her father, a voracious reader and transforming humanist.
María Clara studied Humanities at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla and did a master’s degree in Ibero-American literature at the Universidad Ibero. From the Jesuits she learned that education is an art of transformation and that it is also the only hope that the world has left.
Since the end of her career she devoted herself to journalism, initially in the newspaper El Financiero where she coordinated the cultural pages of Puebla, Tlaxcala and Veracruz, and later in Mexico City in the section of Culture at the national level where she created the section « Pages of the Republic ”, with the aim of decentralizing culture and opening a space to disseminate the cultural work that was done in the states of the republic.
In 1996 she won a National Journalism Award for work published in 1994 and 1995.
Contributor to various media such as Sexenio Magazine, El Columnista and El Financiero.
Since 2014 she joined the editorial initiative «México Soy» as a freelance writer.
She currently lives with hes family in Vermont and teaches courses for the Spanish and Portuguese language department at Dartmouth College.
Writing is for her a matter of salvation and an art through which she reinvents herself.

María Clara De Greiff
Nace en Colombia y crece en México, en la ciudad de Cholula, Puebla.
Hija de padre académico, desde muy chica tuvo el gusto por la literatura, infundado por su padre, voraz lector y transformador humanista.
María Clara estudió Humanidades en la Universidad de las Américas Puebla e hizo una maestría en literatura iberoamericana en la Universidad Ibero. De los Jesuitas aprendió que la educación es una arte de transformar y que es además la única esperanza que le queda al mundo.
Desde que terminó su carrera se dedicó al periodismo, en un inicio en el Periódico El Financiero donde coordinaba las páginas culturales de Puebla, Tlaxcala y Veracruz, y, posteriormente en ciudad de México en la sección de Cultura a nivel nacional donde creó la sección «Páginas de la República», con la pretensión de descentralizar la cultura y abrir un espacio para difundir el quehacer cultural que se hacía en los estados de la república.
En 1996 obtuvo un Premio Nacional de periodismo por obra publicada en 1994 y 1995.
Colaboradora de varios medios como Revista Sexenio, El Columnista y El Financiero.
Desde 2014 se sumó a la iniciativa editorial «México Soy» como escritora independiente.
Actualmente vive con su familia en Vermont e imparte cursos para el departamento de idiomas español y portugués en Dartmouth College.
La escritura es para ella, materia de salvación y un arte a través del cual se reinventa.
